1. Scope and provider

These terms of use apply to the website available at https://www.amperecalc.com and to all calculation tools and content provided on it. The provider is Gaea Operations GmbH, Neuer Wall 10, 20354 Hamburg, Germany.

By using the website you accept these terms. Diverging terms of the user do not apply.

2. Services provided

We provide free calculation tools for estimating energy yields, consumption, emissions and economics, together with editorial content on technology, regulation and subsidies. Use requires no registration and is permitted for private and commercial purposes.

No contract for paid services arises from use. There is no entitlement to the provision of any particular feature.

3. Not advice

All results are model calculations based on your inputs and on statistical reference data. They expressly do not constitute system design, nor legal, tax, financial or energy advice, and create no entitlement to the calculated values materialising.

Statements about regulation are provided for orientation. Rules in this field change several times a year; what governs is always the applicable version of the cited primary source.

Before an investment decision, review by a qualified specialist is required.

4. Availability and changes

There is no entitlement to continuous availability. Maintenance, faults and circumstances beyond our control may cause interruptions.

We reserve the right to adjust calculation models, assumptions, reference data and functionality at any time, in particular when market or legal conditions change. Earlier results may therefore differ from later ones.

5. User obligations

• The website must not be used in a way that impairs its availability or security.
• Systematic automated querying of the calculators (scraping, crawling beyond the usual extent) is not permitted without prior written consent.
• Attempts to circumvent, decompile or reverse-engineer the delivered program components are not permitted, except where the law allows.

6. Rights in content

Text, design, graphics, calculation models, datasets and source code of this website are protected by copyright. Reproduction, adaptation or distribution beyond the limits permitted by law requires our prior written consent.

You are free to use the results of your own calculations, including commercially.

7. Advertising

The website is funded by advertising. Ads are labelled as such and influence neither calculation results nor editorial content. We accept no responsibility for the content or offers of advertisers.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, where a guarantee has been given, and under the German Product Liability Act.

In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — one whose fulfilment makes proper use possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the contract.

Liability is otherwise excluded. In particular we are not liable for financial loss arising because you relied on a calculation result or a statement about regulation without professional review.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In relation to consumers this choice of law applies only to the extent that it does not remove the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their country of habitual residence.

If the user is a merchant, a legal person under public law or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this use is the registered office of the provider.

10. Severability

Should any provision of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
